What Illuminatus Glass offers...

Custom stained glass panels:

My goal, when designing and building a custom piece of glass art, is a piece that is a balance between the needs and tastes of the customer, and my own artistic vision and and skills. In order to achieve that, I work very closely with the customers in the design process. Here's how I typically approach a project:

First, we meet to discuss the project - dimensions, style, color and purpose. This consultation is free to the customer.
I draft one or more designs and a ballpark cost estimate based on the our previous discussions.
When the design is accepted, I meet with the customer again, to discuss final glass selection.
When the design and glass are finalized, I provide a concrete bid for the project, a proposed schedule and a Photoshop mock-up to give the customer a clear idea of the end result, like so:

Upon acceptance of the bid, I require 50% down payment to obtain materials.
I build the pieces. Depending on the size, the pieces are generally framed in ½" x ¼" zinc framing.
On delivery of the pieces, I accept the payment balance.

Repair of existing leaded glass:

First, we meet to discuss the project. This consultation is free to the customer.
Depending on the type of repair, it may be necessary for me to bring the piece in to my workshop.I determine the availability of materials for the repair.
I provide a bid.
On acceptance of the bid, I repair the item.
I take full payment on delivery of the repaired item.
